  i want to write registry value as "\Device\HhpcdcVirtualPort0" , i can't do this because it does not allow "\"

    You may need admin permissions on the machine to change the registry values.

    I assume (since this was three years ago) that you know to use the escape character in C++ strings "\\Device\\Whatever\\Key\\etc".
