AI Series - Part One - Registering For Emotion API

In this article series, I'm planning to talk about Cognitive Services on Azure Platform. The first article will be the explanation of the step-by-step structure of how to register for Emotion API Preview aka Project Oxford.

  1. Access your Azure account via “”.

  2. Search for the term “Cog..” The list will show you the shortcut to Cognitive Services.

  3. Click "Add" and fill the search box with term “Emotion…”. Auto-completion box will find what we’re looking for, i.e., “Emotion API (preview)”.

  4. Click and create a resource in WestUS Servers (by the time I wrote this article, only WestUS is supported. I'm pretty sure the other servers will start supporting it as soon as the beta preview phase is gone).

  5. Access your Emotions API blade (Pages/Windows in Azure Portal)

  6. Create your keys by clicking on keys at 1st step named “Grab your keys” and start using Emotions API from Cognitive Services in Azure Platform.

The next article will be about developing your very first emotion application.
