The issue with the Random class is that it generates pseudo-random numbers, which are not exactly random, but uniformly distributed enough to be used for practical purposes. These random numbers are generated using a well defined mathematical algorithm. It is important to seed the random with the number of ticks to avoid obtaining similar sequences.
