Global Azure Bootcamp 2016: Official Recap

Noida (India), April 16, 2016: The C# Corner Delhi Chapter recently hosted Global Azure Bootcamp on April 16, 2016 at C# Corner, Noida. Global Azure Bootcamp is a one day world-wide event, driven by Microsoft Azure experts and community enthusiasts. A big thank you to Prabhjot Singh and Mohit Chhabra for making this happen at C# Corner.

We want to share with you some of the event highlights. We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the tremendous speakers and attendees who came to extend their support. The huge energetic crowd that converged at the venue beginning at 9:00 AM included developers and entrepreneurs.

The event was kicked off with the first session by Nimit Joshi on “Getting Started With Windows Azure In Visual Studio 2015". He is a two times C# Corner MVP, one time Microsoft MVP and Software Developer with exposure in diverse technologies. He has also written a book on ASP.NET MVC 5. The session included an introduction to Windows Azure and Visual Studio 2015 and went further to Windows Azure in Visual Studio 2015 creating quite an interesting learning environment in the first session itself.

After Nimit’s session, the keynote was delivered by Magnus Martensson. He came straight from Sweden to C# Corner office for delivering his session and he is having exceptionally awesome expertise in Azure. He is Microsoft Azure MVP, Microsoft Regional Director in Sweden, Microsoft Azure Insider, Microsoft Azure Advisor and ASP.NET Insider. With an overview on Azure, he also gave some essential tips, including “Treat Your Server like Packs not Pets!”.

The session was continued by Kunal D Mehta on “Active Directory in Azure”. Kunal is a Pluralsight Author, Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (x3) and a Windows Server Freak. He is quite interested in and works on Windows Server, Windows Client, Exchange, System Center suite, Forefront suite, Virtualization, SharePoint, etc. He explained his topic quite interestingly.

Then, Prabhjot Singh focused on “IoT With Azure”. He is an Entrepreneur, Investor, Trainer, Mentor, Lead of Various Startups and Azure Communities across India. Currently, he is the Director at Getwings Technologies Pvt. Ltd - India, and Executive Director of Econsultancy Dubai - UAE. He demonstrated IoT and Azure with a live example of windmill that created an interesting atmosphere after lunch. Also, another demonstration included a live demo of Raspberry Pi ARM Sensors. Attendees loved the live demonstrations and learned about IoT with Azure.

After that Sunny Sharma presented a session on “Learn Azure DocumentDB: Microsoft's NoSQL Database”. Sunny is a C# Corner MVP and.NET developer by profession. Database is essential and part of almost every application and website. His session on Azure DocumentDB helped the attendees on working with database with ease on Azure.

Then, Mohit Chhabra focused on “Introduction to Azure application Insights”. Mohit is MCSD in Web and Windows Development. He was India's First Azure Champion and first person in India to Crack Microsoft Technology Center Training. He gave an introduction to the applications of Azure with an insight to help out attendees in understanding the real usage of Azure.

At last, Nitin Pandit focused on “Azure Traffic Manager Cloud Service”. He is a well-known speaker, Delhi Chapter Lead and two times C# Corner MVP. With over 5 years of experience his rick skill set includes designing, integrating, implementing, ORM with LINQ, WCF, MVC & managing IT/Web applications. He gave a brief overview on Traffic Manager and his excellent skills in explaining the topic was of great help in understanding cloud services to manage traffic in Azure.

Once again, we would like to thank all of the attendees present at the C# Corner Delhi Chapter and all of the speakers for making the event a great success. I hope for even more attendees in the future.
