What is Pre-HackIndia?

Pre-HackIndia 2026 is a series of regional and campus hackathons conducted across India as part of the HackIndia 2026 season — the country’s biggest Web3 and AI hackathon series. These pre-events are designed to identify, nurture, and spotlight emerging talent before the grand national finale of HackIndia 2026.

Participants can choose from a wide range of AI and Web3 problem statements designed to test creativity, technical skill, and real-world application. We welcome everyone from seasoned coders to first-time hackers to bring their vision to life.

Rules
To ensure a fair and transparent competition, all participants are expected to follow the guidelines below:
Eligibility: Open to students and enthusiasts with an interest in AI, blockchain, or software development.
Team Size: Teams must consist of 2 to 4 members. Individual participation is not allowed.
Original Work: All submissions must be original and developed during the hackathon period. Pre-existing projects will not be accepted.
Code Submission: All code must be submitted through a public GitHub repository with a short documentation or README file.
Time Management: Teams must submit their projects before the final submission deadline announced during the event.
Behaviour: Any form of plagiarism, misconduct, or disruptive behaviour may lead to immediate disqualification.
Judges’ Decision: The decision of the judging panel will be final and binding for all participants.
Intellectual Property: Participants retain ownership of their projects but grant HackIndia the right to showcase their solutions for educational or promotional purposes.
Attendance: Teams must be present for all mandatory sessions and presentations during the event
Problem Statements
Participants can choose from the following exciting challenges:
SocialAI: An AI-driven social media automation tool that integrates multiple accounts (Twitter, LinkedIn), generates and posts engaging content using GenAI, and manages engagement automatically.
ContentGenerator: Build an AI tool that creates SEO- and GEO-optimized content using generative AI.
Video Generator: Convert existing text into high-quality videos automatically.
Games for Sharp Rewards: Create mobile games integrated with Sharp token rewards. (Bonus 250 Sharp for all participants in this track.)
Frontend AI: Build a system that generates complete UI screens from simple ideas or prompts.
Prompt Enhancer: Develop an AI tool that enhances and optimizes prompts for better AI outputs.
Codedex Clone Challenge: Build a learning platform like Codedex.io. (Bonus 250 Sharp to every participant in this category.)
Online Shop for Purchasing Groceries with SHARP Tokens: How can we build a user-friendly online marketplace where users can buy everyday grocery items using SHARP tokens, ensuring seamless transactions, vendor participation, and an efficient delivery system?
Open Innovation Track (Bring Your Own Problem Statement):
If you have a unique idea or a real-world problem you're passionate about solving, this track lets you build your own solution. Teams can propose an original problem statement and develop an innovative project around it. The only requirement: it must showcase creativity, technical depth, and real-world impact.
Note: Individual participation is not allowed. Teams must have a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 members.

HackIndia 2025 – Judging Criteria
At the HackIndia National Finals, each team will get 4 minutes to present their project on stage, followed by 4 minutes of Q&A with the judging panel.
Projects will be evaluated based on three main criteria.
The first is Innovation and Originality (33%), which measures how unique, creative, and impactful the idea is — and whether it solves a real-world problem or pushes the boundaries of what’s possible.
The second is Technical Implementation (34%), which assesses how well the solution is executed, including code quality, architecture, feasibility, and whether the prototype or demo works.
Finally, Presentation and Clarity (33%) will evaluate how effectively the team communicates their idea, explaining the problem, solution, and impact within the given time.

What Will Be the Submission Format?
Each team must submit:
A GitHub repository link containing the project source code.
A README.md file clearly describing the problem statement, tech stack, setup instructions, and usage.
A demo video (2–4 minutes) showcasing the working prototype and explaining the key features.
A presentation deck (optional but recommended) summarizing the concept, workflow, and impact.
What is the Duration of the Hackathon?
The Pre-HackIndia Hackathon 2026 will take place on 22nd November 2025 at Sunderdeep Group of Institutions, from 09:00 AM – 05:00 PM.
When Will the Results Be Declared?
The results of the Pre-HackIndia Hackathon 2026 will be announced on the same day — 22nd November 2025, immediately after the final project presentations and judging round.
