    Yes sure, You can do that programmatically using C# First add a reference to those three namespaces using System.Windows.Forms; using System.Windows.Forms.Integration; using System.Drawing; Then use this code PictureBox myPictureBox1 = new PictureBox(); myPictureBox1.Width = 20; myPictureBox1.Height = 20; System.Drawing.Image myImage = System.Drawing.Image.FromFile(<TheImagePath>); myPictureBox1.BackgroundImage = myImage; WindowsFormsHost host = new WindowsFormsHost(); host.Child = myPictureBox1; Grid oGrid = this.FindName("myGrid") as Grid; oGrid.Children.Add(host);
