How To Check Deployment Of Specific Content In SharePoint 2013 Central Administration

This configuration will help you to validate the Content deployment process which is used to deploy content from one site collection to another and the source and destination can be the same or different farms.

How to configure it?

Let’s open Central Admin of SharePoint on your machine. On your Windows desktop screen, click Start >> Administrative Tools >> SharePoint 2013 Central Administration.

  • Run it as an administrator to have elevated privileges.
  • You will see the screenshot given below.

  • Central Admin is configured under the categories given above.
  • Click on "General Application Settings".

  • Go to "Content Deployment".
  • Click on “Check deployment of specific content“.
  • You will see the screen below.

  • URL
    Here, you can provide the URL of the target site where the content deployment will take place. Once you click on “Check Status”, it will provide you the details the content deployment object status with all the destination details of the content.

Here, you can validate the content deployment of the destination transfer from the source. This will let you know for heavy content deployment which takes enormous time for the movement of the data between different farms or between different site collections within a farm.
