Clear Your Browsing History

A) Microsoft Edge

Microsoft Edge is the newer and faster version of Internet Explorer. To clear your browsing history, follow the instructions below

Step 1

Open Microsoft Edge.

Step 2

In the top-right corner, click on the "Hub" icon (that looks like a shooting star).

Step 3

Click on the "History" option and then click on the "Clear history" button. Alternatively, you can press the "Ctrl + H" key to directly open the "History" window.

"Clear browsing data" window will appear on the screen with various options like browsing history, cookies, download history and many more. Select the options that you want to clear (delete).

Note

If you want to clear your browsing history every time when you close the browser, then select the option of “Always clear this when I close the browser".

B) Google Chrome

Open Google Chrome.

In the top-right corner, click on the "Customize and control Google Chrome" option (indicating by 3-dots) and then click on the "History" option. Alternatively, you can press the "Ctrl + H" key to open directly the "History" window.

Click on "Clear browsing data".

"Clear browsing data" window will appear on the screen with two tabs, Basic and Advanced.

C) Mozilla Firefox

Open Mozilla Firefox.

Click on "Clear Recent History".

"Clear All History" window will appear on the screen. First, select the time range and then click on "Clear Now".

Delete The Search History In File Explorer

Step 1

Open the File Explorer.

Step 2

"File Explorer" window will appear on the screen. To search a file or folder just start typing in the "Search Quick access" and you can see the related search history.

To Remove the Particular Search History

Hover on the related search history and press the "delete" button. (It will automatically delete that particular history in the "search bar").

To Remove the Entire Search History

Click on the Search bar and the "Search Tool" tab will appear on the title bar and then click on it.

Click on "Recent searches" and then click on "Clear search history". (It will automatically delete the entire searching history in the "search bar").
