- Tokens to transfer
To know more about Safe{Wallet} and how to create Safe{Wallet}, you can refer to the Safe{Wallet} Guide. Here, you will find a step-by-step guide for creating a safe{wallet}.
After you are ready with your account and some tokens (whether it is a real token or any custom-made token), you are all set to transfer those to a wallet address present on the chain, be it your address(a different one) or a friend's address.
Transfer Token (Step-By-Step Guide)
To transfer tokens from your Safe{Wallet} to another account address, you need to follow the steps listed below -
Step 1. Accessing your Wallet
Log in to your Safe{wallet} account, just like you did when you created it. Remember, this is your secure gateway to your digital assets.
After a successful login, you will be directed to the Home page.
Step 2. Select the Asset/Token to Send
On the home page, you can see the number of tokens your address holds. Click on the tokens on the home page, it will take you to the Asset page.
You can also directly navigate to the Asset page.
Here, we can find all the tokens present at our address along with the amount of that particular token we possess.
Select the token we want to send.
Step 3. Choose the Recipient's address and amount
After selecting the token that we want to send, we will be asked to enter the Receiver's wallet address and the amount of token that we need to transfer.
Enter the Receiver's address and the amount as per your requirement. Then click on Next.
Please double-check the receiver's address before proceeding with the transaction.
Step 4. Sign the Transaction
After clicking on Next, the confirm transaction window will be shown. Now we need to approve the transaction from our end.
Before signing the transaction, we can run a simulation to ensure whether the transaction is going to be successful or not. This method helps us to be extra sure about the transaction that we are about to sign. Since in blockchain, every transaction requires a gas fee to get executed, and the gas fee is not returned to the transaction sender even if the transaction fails, it is beneficial to ensure the success of the transaction so that no gas fee is wasted. It is an advanced feature that the Safe{Wallet} offers.
After running the simulation and confirming its success, Sign the transaction.
After signing a transaction, you can see your transaction on the Transaction page.
Step 5. Let the other owners confirm the transaction
Since Safe{Wallet} is a multi-signature wallet where we can set more than one owner for a particular address. Thus, we need approval for the transaction, which is to be executed by the majority of the owners.
For example - If a multi-sig wallet has 3 owners, then confirmation from at least 2 owners is needed for a transaction to be executed.
If your Safe{Wallet} has multiple owners, then the other owners need to approve and sign the transaction from their side also. The transaction that is waiting for confirmation will be shown under the Transaction tab inside the Queue.
Let a majority of owners approve the transaction.
Congratulations! Once the other owners approve of your transaction, the transaction will be completed, and the tokens will be transferred.
