INTRODUCTION
RPA stands for Robotic Process Automation, which is a process of business process automation technology based on metaphorical software robots (bots) or by using Artificial Intelligence workers. UiPath is an RPA tool which is used for Windows desktop automation. It is used to automate repetitive and redundant tasks and eliminates human work. This process can be used by persons, who do not know programming. So, it is an added advantage for UiPath and it can be done by a simple drag and drop concept. UIPATH STUDIOX
There are two studios available in UiPath; one is UiPath Studio and the other one is UiPath StudioX. Both studios are used for the automation process, but they are different in their process and User Interface. In UiPath studioX the UI is very user friendly and the functions are easily accessible in this compared with UiPath studio. There will be more advantages for StudioX, because it is better with UI.
INSTALLATION OF STUDIOX
There will be different types of licensing available for UiPath Studios. For downloading that you need to create an account in UiPath. To create that open UiPath site by clicking
here. After getting into the site there will be an option called start trial, by clicking it you will be forwarded to the login portal of UiPath.
There you can signup with your Google or Microsoft account.
Then you will be asked for some details like your name and company or organization name. Then you can go to the home page of UiPath platform. There you are able to download the UiPath studio setup file.
There will be only one setup file for both UiPath Studio and UiPath StudioX. After getting the download you can just click on the setup file. It does not need any administrator access and it starts to install.
After getting installed a UiPath setup page will open, there you need to choose the licencing. If you are having the enterprise version it means you can enter the key of the enterprise version. Otherwise you can choose the community version, which is free for your lifetime.
After choosing the next page, you will be given a choice for installation. You will be given the choice of installing UiPath studio and UiPath studioX preview. Choose the StudioX preview option.
At the next page you can choose the version you want, either the preview version or stable version. I am choosing the preview version because it will be like a beta testing version, it will get frequent updates compared with the stable version. You can choose that based on your need. Then the application gets opened. For the persons who are using the UiPath studio, it will install studioX by uninstalling it and you can change the option during the installation process as given above. Then you are able to use the studioX.
APPLICATION OF UIPATH STUDIOX
As I said earlier, it is a Robotic Process Automation tool. It will help you to automate the day to day business activities by creating a flow. It can be created by a simple drag and drop concept. It does not need any single line of coding for that process. For using the UiPath studioX automation process you must have the genuine Microsoft office version such as the office versions above 2010 or Office 365. Under the tools section there will be some UiPath extensions, which you can enable by clicking on those icons. Those extensions will help you during the process of running the automation flow.
There will be some predefined templates for some process of automation.
You can use your Outlook account for some of the processes, like automatically downloading of files or auto messaging options or auto archiving of messages.
