Also, most developers, especially young ones, do not know that device independence was the primary purpose of GML nearly half a century ago. SGML was designed based on GML and HTML (until version 5) uses SGML. So formatting documents using device independence is not new for software, it is just new for HTML.

This is an interesting and useful article but as far as advanced computers are concerned, I disagree that Mobile devices and Tablets are more advanced than Desktops.
