Issue # 1
Error
You are trying to open Visio diagram in the Browser but it only gives you the option to save or open in the local Visio Client program, as shown below.

Reason
If you notice the image, you will see that you uploaded a VSD file and not VDW. Only VDW is supported file type for the Visio Graphic Services.
Resolution
In order to open the Visio diagram in the Browser, use Visio Graphic Service. We have to use the VDW (Visio Web Drawing).
Issue # 2
Error
Once you open an existing Visio diagram and click Refresh, the error given below occurs.

If you upload a fresh Visio diagram to the SharePoint and click it and you will get the error, as shown below.

Reason
One of the reason is Visio Graphic Service instance is stopped. Please login to Central Admin > System Settings > Manager Service on Server. On this page, please make sure that Visio Graphic Service has started.

Please login on Central Admin > System Settings > Manager Service on Server. On this page, please make sure that Visio Graphic Service has started.
- Click System Settings, followed by Manager on Services on Server under the Servers.

- Service-> Server page.
- Select the Server on which this Service should run (As a recommendation, it should run on Application Server).
- Now, make sure Visio Service status has started. If not, please click Start.

Error
Try to open an existing Visio Document but the error given below occurs.

Reason
Main reason for this error is you can see even in the error message that Visio Graphic Service Proxy is not associated with the Web app, where your site collection is provisioned.I

Resolution
To fix this issue, please follow the steps given below.
- Login to Central Admin with Farm Admin account.
- Click Application Management > Manager Web Applications.
- Highlight the Web Applications and click Service Connections from Ribbon.
