SharePoint Modern Communication Site No Code Feature For Header, Footer And Navigation

Introduction

In this article, we will explore how to modify the Header, Footer and Navigation in SharePoint modern communication site without using any custom code.

In earlier versions of SharePoint communication sites, when we needed any branding modification in the header, footer, or navigation, we used to go to the SharePoint Framework Extension, named Application Customizer, to apply the custom branding code functionality. In Application Customizer, a lot of manual efforts were needed for applying the basic changes in the header, footer, and navigation like changing the font color, background, text alignment, etc.

Currently, Microsoft introduced some new features in the communication site for making the changes in the look and feel of the header, footer, and navigation. Now, the users have no need to add custom code. Thus, the manual efforts for branding on the header, footer, and navigation are reduced.

Now, we can quickly and easily customize the look of our SharePoint communication site. Let us explore the process step by step.
