Greetings: Thank you for posting this example. When I try to compile the sample code under Visual Studio .NET 2005, I receive the following two compilation errors: 'Simple_Pad.Main' does not contain a definition for 'deleteItem_Click' Simple Pad\Main.Designer.cs Line: 782 Col: 67 'Simple_Pad.SplashScreen' does not contain a definition for 'SplashScreen_Load' Simple Pad\SplashScreen.Designer.cs Line: 50 Col: 55 Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Hey.... Nice one.. I learned a lot from it BUT the application doesnt compile.. Says some manifest certificate is not signed... Whats that mean..

  I too have had this problem while developing my applications. To fix simply go into the programs properties (Project -> Simple Pad Properties) click on the Signing tab and uncheck "Sign the ClickOnce manifests" check box. Honestly, I have no idea why this happens.

Simple Pad is a more advanced notepad clone using the tab control to allow users to have more than one document open without the clutter of many windows. This was created to help improve my understanding in C#. I now feel that the concepts and features that I have used in Simple Pad will be useful to people just starting off in C# or need help with starting a notepad like feature.
