Introduction
You might have heard the word Azure. Some of you might have tried to use it. In this article we will see what exactly Azure is. I hope you will like it.
If you are new to Azure, you can get more information from Azure Tips.
Azure
Azure is also known as Microsoft Azure, since it indicates that Azure has been introduced by Microsoft. It can be used for faster development and management of Mobile, Enterprise, Web, Internet of Things (IoT) apps. Microsoft is recommending use of Azure, developers do not need to learn new technologies. The knowledge of what they already have would be fair enough to work with Azure. So Azure acts as a mediator here. And gives a platform to work with any technology. This is what has made it so popular.
Going forward, we will see the following key concepts.
- Economical And Scalable
- Open And Flexible
- Protection of your data
- All over the world
- Suits for any business
- Powerful BI and Stream analytic
Now we will see all of these in detail.
Economical and Scalable
Azure provides you high performance for an unbeatable price. That means you will get a great service for a lower price that nobody else offers except Microsoft. It has the feature of pay-as-you-go. That means you need to pay as you use the service. If you find some feature is not needed, you can just de-activate the service and just pay for only the services you use. Sound cool, right?
Open And Flexible
Azure supports nearly all the operating systems, programming languages, frameworks, tools, databases, devices and so on. Since it supports all the languages (JavaScript, Python, .NET, PHP, Java, Node.js and so on) , a developer can easily work on Azure with the knowledge in which he/she relies on.
Protection of your data
Microsoft has given first priority to protecting our data in the cloud. Our data and everything is secured in the cloud. Microsoft Azure was the first cloud provider recognized by the European Union's data protection authorities.
All over the world
Azure is worldwide now. It is in use in 19 regions of the world already and is increasing every day. Analysis says that Azure has more customers than Amazon Web Services and the Google cloud.
Suits for any business
No matter whether you run a small or large business, Azure is the best solution for your business. It gives you a 24/7 technical support.
Powerful BI and Stream analytic
Azure's powerful BI and stream analytic help you choose decisions over your business depending on your business growth.
I hope you are ready to go for Azure now. If yes, please go ahead and don't wait. Time is precious.
Conclusion
I hope someone will find this article useful. Please share your valuable thoughts and comments. Your feedback is always welcomed.
Thanks in advance. Happy coding!

Yes, Microsoft Azure is a good deal and worth trying. Many developers however are unaware of IBM's Bluemix. It is also a cloud service and is growing quickly. It is really growing in India. Now that Microsoft has made .Net open-source, IBM is able to include support of .Net in its cloud service and that is really making Bluemix popular. IBM's Bluemix cloud services is only about a year old yet it is now a $7.7 billion business whereas Microsofr Azure is a reported $6.3 billion business. Bluemix has 49 Data Centers whereas Azure has about 17 Data Centers. See: http://www.forbes.com/sites/gregsatell/2015/04/27/move-over-amazn-ibm-now-rules-cloud-services/
