  Are you sure that addEventListener works in all browsers? I think it only works in IE.

    it works with webkit and moz . Doesn't know about IE. Documentation says it won't work with IE8 . https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/EventTarget.addEventListener
