InfoPath Issue - Content won't publish because Content Type in Document Library is based on Form Content Type

This post will show what to do when you face InfoPath issue, “InfoPath failed to publish because the default content type in the document library is based on the form content type”.

Resolution

 

Check if your site features are activated or not. If not, then follow the below steps to activate:

1. Open your SharePoint site.
2. Go to the gear box and select Site Settings
3. In Site Settings, check Site Actions for the option “Manage Site Features”.
4. You will get a list of site features.
5. Search for “Team Collaboration List” and click on “Activate”.
6. Now, refresh your SharePoint Site and try to publish your InfoPath form.

Try to create a library while publishing the form. You should not receive this error.
