This triggers mail if either the site is down or the performance is slow. Schedule it in windows task scheduler and run it for every 5 mins to keep a track on critical applications.
- Finds the availability of the site, If the site is down it triggers mail to the administrator.
- Monitors the performance of the site, if the performance is slow it triggers the mail to the administrator.
- This is tested in windows server 2003, windows server 2008 and windows server 2008 R2.
The account which is used to run this must have at least read permission to the application.
