Recently, many employers
have switched from a purely job website to online social communities such as
LinkedIn and Facebook. You will see Job ads on Facebook, LinkedIn and direct on
Google Ads. I have seen a lot of traffic dip in pure job websites like Dice.com
and Monster.com.
It actually makes sense.
While I am on a social community like C# Corner learning about something, why
not just apply here for a job? Why not post my resume here. I personally think these pure job websites will eventually die unless they do some drastic changes? And what is the guarantee that LinkedIn or other sites won't follow?
We are also redoing our Job section to make it simpler for employers to post jobs and candidates to find jobs and post resumes. Obviously, we will still have everything free on the site.
What are your thoughts?
Do you still go to websites like Dice and Monster to find a job? What is your
major source when you are looking for a new job?

We do have Jobs right now but cleaning it up. I think adding Referral Program is a good idea.

Most of the companies calling for Employee Referral Program, where we can refer the candidates to the employer. Employer sends the mail to employee whenever there is an employee referral program. Peoples might get job through this also. Does the functionality available now in C-Sharp corner ?

When looking for a candidate to fill a position, employers and recruiters will use all resources available to them. I suspect dice and monster have been effected by social media such as LinkedIn, but a website such as dice or monster have alerts and bots that actively match skill sets. Linked-In and facebook are not just targeted for jobs. I'm always checking out my dice alerts, and rarely look at linked in, but if I was actively looking for a job, I would take advantage of linked-in.
