When I open a project I can change the code and save any changes I make, but I can't run the code. The Start Debugging button is inactive. Any ideas why? If I create a new project I can debug the code???

Which program (eg: C, C++, C#) your are asking about? and if you are using Visual Studio.NET which version it is.
