Hi,

Yes, we can create an instance of Interface but using derived class.

public interface IAnimal

{

string Speak();

}

public class Dog : IAnimal

{

public string Speak()

{

return "Woof, woof";

}

class Program

{

static void Main(string[] args)

{

IAnimal animal = new Dog();

Console.WriteLine(animal.Speak());

}

Interface is mainly used for the to acheive the inheritance concept in C#. in the interface you can't implementation in the derived class only you implement the interface method

(note:the signature should be same)

Hi Murari,

You cannot instantiate interface.You can create instance of a class that implements the interface.

e.g

interface I1
{
void Func1();
}
class C1: I1
{
public Func1()
{
//one implementation
}
}
class C2 : I1
{
public Func1()
{
//the other implementation
}
}
I1 tmp = new C1: ();
tmp = new C2();
