No one is better. Since it hardly depends on the table's data on your hand. In some places join perform better way than sub-query. In some scenario, vice versa.

hello,

Joins and Subqueries are same in functionality but in joins there are different types and each type will work in different way but in subquery no more types so only one functionality.

Subquery and JOINs, both are different concept.

yes most of the subquery can be replace by Joins, but not all.
