Access database file through your application

I want to access .frm, .myd, .myi, and .mdf and many more database file extension from my vb.net applcaition how i can do it??
i do not want to access the database server i just want to use the file and imort the database tables in my application..........

Is the database is specific to your application and not intended to be used outside of your application or is the database used by other applications also?

in client machine there is no server avaliable ........... client have only some types of file which he wants to acces from this application .....all files are the diffrent diffrent database file....and each contains table with some information..............

Then please explain why you need to "not want to access the database server". It is difficult to do that, so if we knew why you need to do what you are trying to do then perhaps there is a reasonable alternative.

thanks sam for ur quick reply i want to use diffrent types of database file used,, we take the file from the user or any type of database and read that table and show it in my application............ thanks, Regards Sandeep Kumar

If the database is specific to your application and not intended to be used outside of your application then consider using a different database format. If the database is used by other applications then it is likely that the MySQL server will be executed already.
