Access Partial Methods Outside The Partial Class

FWIW, you can access a partial method from a class which is nested within the class which defines the partial method as the following example shows. However, you are not really accessing it from 'outside' the latter so the answer to the question is still 'no':

using System;

partial class SomeClass

{

partial void SomeMethod(string s);

}

partial class SomeClass

{

partial void SomeMethod(string s)

{

Console.WriteLine("Some method called with parameter '{0}'", s);

}

internal class NestedClass

{

internal void NestedMethod(string s)

{

SomeClass sc = new SomeClass();

sc.SomeMethod(s);

}

class Test

{

static void Main()

{

SomeClass.NestedClass sn = new SomeClass.NestedClass();

sn.NestedMethod("Hello");

Console.ReadKey();

}

No, you can't use a partial method outside the class in which its defined because partial methods are implicitly private.
