Accessing windows form controls in static metod

Suppose you want to access textBox1 which has been placed directly on Form1. Then you can access it from a static method, on the same Form or otherwise, as follows:

Form1 f1 = Application.OpenForms["Form1"] as Form1;

if (f1 ! =  null)

{

  TextBox tb = f1.Controls["textBox1"] as TextBox;

  string s = (tb != null) ? tb.Text : "";

  // do something with 's'

}
