I know ADO is Activex Data Object but I want to know what is the meaning of "Activex" ? Please explain anyone....

ActiveX is a framework, based on the Component Object Model (or COM), for creating software components in a language independent way. It was introduced by Microsoft in the 1990s and so pre-dates .NET. Most ActiveX components were built in either C++ or VB.
