Difference When storing Page Title in Application Setting Gives you flexibility to change page title without Changing Code of Application and Without recompiling it.
When you create key in Application Settings. it Creates XML File in which it Stores your AppKey and its Value.Now in future if need arise that you want to change the Title of Page .. then you just have to Download the XML file from FTP Server and Just Change One Line in XML file and Re upload it again ..
So you have not affected whole application and You also dont have recompiled the Asp.net application and also changed the Title too :).
Now if you Take Another Senario when you have Hardcoded Title in Code then you must recompile whole Asp.net application to just change single page Title :) that is not recommended .
