Hi,

I prepare a program in asp.net using c#, and I need to add a scanner property in it please, my program has many cells as exsample (reciever, department,date,title,note,attachment ,....etc) but I need to add a button to scan directly through the program, please I really need your help...with respect.

Your requirement is not clear enough. It seems that you want a way to connect to the scanner device on the client computer and scan the document, then upload it to website. If that is the case, the biggest issue here is that you need to install something on the client side because the browser cannot access the scanner directly.

There is an OCX-based solution, which needs to be installed on the client side. But it is only supported by some and not all versions of IE, and almost no other browsers.

A more general approach installs a self-hosted service at the client side that communicates with the browser and your web-based application.

I made a program in asp.net using c# to electronic archive, which has entries to (book no,book title,book date, the receiver, the sender , note,......etc) and the option of upload the image(jpg,ping,.....) which I previously take it scanner by scanner device, please can anyone help me to add the option to take scanner directly through the program by adding an option under (book no,book title,book date, the receiver, the sender , note,......etc)options to take the image scanner, If anyone can help me I will owe him/her for ever –

no, I mean enable the program to upload the files (jpg,png,....etc)directly through the program without put the file in the scanner machine to enter the file to computer, then upload the file to the program, so I want to add a button its name scanner when I click , the file which I put in the scanner machine will be uploud to a specific folder

What exactly u mean by scan, is that mean u want to retrieve data from database ?
