Addicted to AI

Question

I'm addicted to AI these days. Can't believe how much time I spent learning and using it. Are you? Share how are you using AI? Let's not say I use chatgpt every day :)

I think it is not an addiction if you are getting value from it and it is not distracting you from other things you need to do. Yes, I use AI very often. It is very useful. I am amazed at how well it understands. I am impressed when it makes a mistake (what I consider a mistake) and when I explain the mistake it does some more thinking and is able to correct the mistake. In the past when I read something, such as a tutorial, and I did not understand, it was like a wall I could not get past. With AI I can ask questions and get useful answers. It is an expert I can get help from without the baggage of a real person. I have a list of more than 6 virtual assistants (Gemini , Perplexity, Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Github Copilot, Grok, Meta AI and others) that I try. I wish I had a better way to organize the discussions (usually called chats ). I have also been using AI to write code. In the past other programmers either did not write specifications for programs before developing or they preferred diagrams instead of text to write specifications . My preference for writing specifications and using text for the specifications is advantageous with AI. I spent a few days writing specifications for a GitHub Action for doing some simple substitution for static websites. The application sounded simple but AI made it more work than I expected. Each time I asked AI to do a review of the specifications it had many suggestions for significant improvements of the specifications and that made the program much better. AI can be highly useful in making reviews.
