Agile or agility - ability to be flexible in deliverables (in IT or software development). We plan things to be deliver early and then work on it. Sounds like waterfall. Right?
Here is how its different.
Consider we have 2 weeks of cycle time to be schedule for deliverables.
Here is the work process of agile in Software development.
Plan with dependencies, risks, goals identified -> Start execution -> Meet daily for updates/roadblocks -> share/demo deliverable at the end -> Retrospect what went well/not well/ things to improve-> Track deliverables with metrics -> Continue again
Everyone is at the same page every time. No one to blame.
Where is agility ? - It lies in the process, example if a new risk or a new roadblock is identified or any other issue , communicate it remove the work item, replace with another. Work doesn't stop.
Hope this simple workflow helps,
