Alert message on column value

Hi,
I have a column called comments which has certain value. I need javascript to check for below values in Comments column. I have a edit button in my gridview and when they click on the row which has these values I need to give an alert.
PrimaryApps
MasterApps
Child Apps
Really appreciate any help on this.
