Alternative for Spire.XLS to Read XLS file in C#

Hi, Can anyone please suggest a good library for reading XLS file in C# like Spire.XLS and that is Free and no license required for use of that library?

IIRC there should be a LastRowIndex property.

I don't have NPOI installed at the moment, so cannot check. I am not entirely sure.

Hi pritaeas, Do you know how we can identify wather the worksheet is blank or not using the NPOI library? I have a search on google about the same but didn't get any helpful resources.

Thanks pritaeas and Rajanikant Hawaldar for your valuable answer, Actually I think I should go with NPOI library, it's free and easy to implement compared to spreadsheet light library.

And pritaeas, I got a solution for error that I have asked about to you, I have used class XSSFWorkebook instead of HSSFWorkebook for Write data in the workbook from Xls document.

Hi Pritaeas, as you suggested NPOI library then it is free ? or need to purchase licence version for this library? Or have you any good resource or reference link for sample example for use of this library?
