Amanda Knox Coming Home

People know Italy as having the headquarters of the Catholic religion but just a little south, Sicily is known as the headquarters of the Mafia. I would be surprised if Italy was not influenced by the Mafia. Could it be that there is a connection between the Catholic religion and the Mafia? We probably will never know.

That is relevant to Amanda Knox if someone paid the prosecutor and other govenment people to convict an innocent person. If so then it is even more important to get the guilty.

She was in jail for 4 years but her sentence was for 26 years. So she would have remained in jail for at least 20 more years if she had not been acquitted.

I sure saw the news when she arrived back home; at the airport at least. Note that she flew home to Seattle-Tacoma airport and Microsoft uses "seatac" in many of their sample programs.

She is so happy. It is sure good to see her home. She is a wonderful person.

There are many details to the story that most news stories do not talk about. The prosecutor in that case is so corrupt that he has spent time in jail. It is amazing that the Italian government allowed the trial to occur. So the question is how many other people are in jail but innocent. It happens everywhere in the world. Amanda might never have gotten an acquital if she was not from America. Certainly there are other countries that would also protest the corruption but I wonder if she would have remained in jail if she was a native of Italy.
