Anybody know,Why I can't create ASP.NET application...

I had installed .NET version 1.1 in Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 3,

When I try to create New Project in Web Application(ASP.NET) it shows error message that

" Your Web Server is running ASP.NET version 1.0, you are trying to open ASP.NET application version 1.1......." and I could not create Web Application...

I also tried to the help that instructs to register " aspnet_regiis /i " ......even tho its not working.

Is it need .NET to be install in Windows 2000 Server OS....

Hi all,

Now I able to create web app...

The prob is while creating web app ASP.NET merly looking for TCP/IP port 80.In that some other service was running like (Oracle HTTP).I disabled Oracle and I changed IIS Default Web Site to port 80....

And now its working....

your problem between install of IIS & .NET framework ,so I suggest to remove .NET framework and install it again to recognize to IIS
