If the only errors are obvious and simple to fix then that could be symptoms of someone that has more important things to worry about. As an employer, who do you want doing the programming? Someone for whom the costs of testing and verification are negligable and can be done by other junior programmers or someone for whom it costs a week's salary to get the testing and verification done? Of course the typical manager does not care how much it costs when the programmer is on salary and is expected to work whatever hours it takes to get the work done. Managers like that don't know how much they pay in the hidden costs of bugs that are initially dormant.

Hi Mahesh, I agree but when a programmer got deadlines and less freedom to put his mind on development then these boundaries makes it hard to test the application thoroughly and makes the testers happy(They can report bugs happily after all).
