when you allocate laptop to employee .then employee also registered with this laptop. when you want to track you laptop. just search employeeregisterd( table where you entry the allocation of laptops to employee ) table with that barcode.

ok i am creating serial no as unique and according to that i am creating barcode and i ll put that barcode on laptop, but if i want to see like currently where is my laptop in all over the world (i will define the places and according to that i can track) then how i ll do that.

in vehicle tracking we can put gps kind of devices and through that we can track but how we ll track an asset??

Suppose You are tracking your laptop . First of all you have to create a unique barcode for every laptop. you can make laptop serial no as a unique no. Now put the barcodes on to the laptops. Now allocate each unique barcode to every employee who is eligible for laptop.
