IIS (inetinfo.exe) has different authentication modes (http authentication scheme) like:-

On the other hand , Asp.Net(Aspnet_Wp.exe) has following:-

Am i wrong , that above analogy was only till IIS 6 and now in IIS 7 + in integrated mode the pipeline is unified?

Please don't put link for the answer, the answer must be one liner, i think.

In Integrated mode, ASP.NET request processing integrates directly into the IIS 7 request-processing pipeline. Integrated mode enables you to configure managed modules for Web sites that are developed with unmanaged code. For example, you can use managed Forms authentication for a Web site that is developed with ASP.
