Auto run Api on server to check data

I have created MVC5 Web API controller (api project) to send Emails according to check for some data in table in sql database .How Can I Run this api in the server of data base and auto run the check in database from controller action.

You can develop a windows service which can call your web api function periodically. For doing any job periodically you may use quartz schedular. Or you can work with windows console apps from where u can call web api function and schedule that windows app by windows default task schedular. If u go for this options then you do not have to develop windows service. Let me know am i clearly understand your problem.

It it's ASP.Net Web API, then it needs to be executed based on a user action,

if you want to check DB data and send mail, you can use SQL job for that, you can send mail using SMTP mail.
