There are multiple options , the easiest is to use Jquery
Step 1. Define a method in Controller to get Employee's Name by empCode.
public string GetByEmpCode(string Code)
{
YourDbContext db= new YourDbContext();
var emp= db.Employees.Where(x=>x.EmpCode==Code).Single();

return emp.Name;
}
step 2. Call this method on blur of EmployeeCode and set Employee's name.
$("#EmployeeCode").blur(function(){
  $.get( "/ControllerName/GetByEmpCode?Code="+(this).val(), function( data ) {
  $( "#EmployeeName" ).val( data );

});
});

Hi,

You can execute a JavaScript to call an API on focus out of EmployeeCode textbox and get the Employee name from DB.
