use bellow code it will work properly what iam doing here , converting base64 code to file as you wanted excel sheet . for that i have taken one example of base64code , in my visula studio created ExcelDocument folder in web api you can use tring path = HttpContext.Current.Server.MapPath("~/ExcelDocument"); in case of mvc Server.MapPath("~/ExcelDocument") please use bellow code finally your xl document will write to inside ExcelDocument folder. string base64code = "LS0tLS0tLS0tLS0tLS0tLS0tLS0tLS0tLS0tLS0tLS0tCioqKiBTaGVldCBTaGVldDEgKioqCi0tLS0tLS0tLS0tLS0tLS0tLS0tLS0tLS0tLS0tLS0tLQotLS0tLS0tLS0tLS0tLS0tLS0tLS0tLS0tLS0tLS0tLS0="; string path = HttpContext.Current.Server.MapPath("~/ExcelDocument"); string filename = "test" + ".xlsx"; //set the image path string filepath = Path.Combine(path, filename); byte[] fileinbytes = Convert.FromBase64String(base64code); File.WriteAllBytes(filepath, fileinbytes); Thanks If it helps please mark as answer
