Being C# Developer Is Good Or DB(Any DB) Developer Is Good?

    I am New To Software Development.Some Seniors are saying DB is good and some are saying C# is good?I am asking interms of Career Growth,Hike And Job Oppurtunites.Please someone give me advice.
