Best way to save Gridview for later use

Two approaches:

1. Using sessions to store the data, so that in the next page you can easily reference the value from Session. You can use DataTable/Collections/Custom objects or any forms of temporary data holder and then store the value in Session. 2. Second is using a Temporary Table in the database. This means that in the first page where you collect the data you can save them in a temporary table passing along the userid of the user. In the next page where you want to verify the data you can just query your temporary table based on the user ID and display them on the gridview . Once the order is finalize and confirmed you can now insert the data to your final table and clean up the data stored from your temporarily table.

If you were to ask me, I'd prefer option 2 because we can't really rely on Sessions for storing the data. Why is it? In ASP.NET the application pool frequently recycles and this is typically out of our control. When that happened all that in-memory state is lost.
