birth day wishes

It is very simple. All you have to do is write a function returning true if today is someone's birthday. Me be being much of back-end fanatic, I would do this on server side itself. Consider following example in T-SQL (SQL Server)

select .....

   ,iif(month(DateOfBirth) = month(GetDate()) and day(DateOfBirth) = day(GetDate()), 1, 0) [IsBirthDayToday]

,

from

You can achieve the identical result in C#, however, as a best practice, have a read only property of Employee class itself. For example:

public Boolean IsBirthDayToday

{

get

{

    return DateOfBirth.Month == DateTime.Now.Month && DateOfBirth.Day == DateTime.Now.Day;

}

}
