button color

I think we are talking about diffrent things. I changed buttoncolors in ordinary forms, at desing time, and at run time. It's maybe a problem with compact framework. Forgot what I said, and try to find a solution for your problem. I hope you do.

You can't change it at design time, so i am assuming you can't change it at all.

you are doing it for compact framework or regular windows forms?

I'm changing the color of a button at runtime. I'm doing it in the same way as in your example. But did you include System.Drawing? using System.Drawing; bn1.BackColor = Color.Blue; Maybe this is your problem.
