C# files within last 10 days

Whilst it's easy to detect whether a day is a Saturday or a Sunday, there are no built-in methods which can detect 'weekday holidays' for a given locale and you therefore need to compile a list of these (with a time component of 12.00 am) separately.

Subject to that you can first get a list of the last ten working days (including, where appropriate, today) as follows:

List holidays = new List();

// fill holidays with weekday holidays for the current locale

List workingDays = new List();

DateTime today = DateTime.Today;

{

DayOfWeek dow = today.DayOfWeek;

if (dow != DayOfWeek.Saturday && dow != DayOfWeek.Sunday && !holidays.Contains(today))

{

workingDays.Add(today);

}

today = today.AddDays(-1);

}

while (workingDays.Count < 10);

List files = new List();

DirectoryInfo di = new DirectoryInfo(directoryPath);

foreach(FileInfo fi in di.GetFiles("*.xls"))

{

DateTime created = fi.CreationTime;

if (workingDays.Contains(created)) files.Add(fi);

}

foreach(FileInfo fi in di.GetFiles("*.doc"))

{

DateTime created = fi.CreationTime;

if (workingDays.Contains(created)) files.Add(fi);

}
