Hello As we know , every methods and variable in c# have specific scope , and their value limited to their scope only We can not use their values outside their scope , otherwise it will throw exception What is static variable ? If you want any variable that do not change throughout all the instance of object than you can assign static to an variable We can use static class or variable even if we have not created any object I think C# does not support static local variable , i mean declared within method scope Value of an static variable will be act as CONST and remains same for all the objects of an instance That's all i can say about static If still you need reference , you can refer below link : https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/csharp/programming-guide/classes-and-structs/static-classes-and-static-class-members Thanks

In simple language, If you are using static variable in your class than, there is no need to create object of class to access it. Eg: public static class StaticClass { public static int StaticVariable = 10; } class Test { static void Main(string[] args) { Console.WriteLine(StaticClass.StaticVariable); } } Output: 10 Note: Same can appy on method and property. There is no need to create object of class to access method and property as well. Hope you will get your answer. Thanks
