c# winforms developer - Guidance

i am a vb.net/c# winforms developer who has 4 years experience . Also worked in java Struts application for 2 years with hands on HTML,CSS,Javascript,Ajax,Jquery. I am interested in making a full time career in dot net technologies for which i will have to change my current job.

Asp.net ,Asp.net MVC , WPF and WCF are the available options out there and i have no experience in them.

i am confused what to choose at this stage.

Will WPF be a good transition for me since i have dot net winforms background ?

Can i learn asp.net mvc faster as i have work experience in struts mvc ?

I am comfortable with both windows and web application development . Please guide me making the right choice based on market value, future scope of these technologies.

WCF is key these days. Most of the app need some kind of connectivity. Start with WCF and WPF. There is a lot to learn in these two.

Windows applications (WPF) is in good demand and will be here for a while. Not all business move to Web. If it is easier for you to migrate to WPF and get a job then go for it. To me, WPF need job will probably hire you based on your Windows forms experience. Good luck!

i have already ordered a book for wpf and will focus on it along with wcf. Thanks a lot mahesh :)

Thank you very much mahesh . I really appreciate your valuable suggestion. i see a lot of openings in asp.net & asp.net mvc. However as u pointed out wpf is in demand and i hope i will be able to find a job in WPF at the earliest. Meanwhile can u help me with relevant technologies companies ask for WPF profile jobs , like for ex: WCF,SSRS etc. Should i be focussing on learning the other technologies too or will WPF be enough for my job change.
