can i do change the button text multi time in one click

i have a button and wanted to change the button text multi time in one click. when a user click the button, button text will be change in to "completing..." and after some time it will again change into "completed"

it is for aspx page code language c# . example one button having text "apply", when i click the button it text become "applying...." and after 5 or 10 second it text become "applied".
can i do that please help me for doing this.
