Can I make tally like accounting software in C#.NET?UI prt.

I want to develop a small accounting software using c#.Net Windows Form.
So I wanted to ask that if it possible to get the UI similar to Tally Accounting software, i.e the old traditional look with all the navigation functionality.

I have tried to make the text box border as transparent and changed the on enter and exit event to change the text box's background and text color.
I don't know if this is the correct approach.

Completely agree with Tapan. Unless you have very specific reason, don't take that path. On the contrary, think what is it that it was lacking and how you can add that.

With respect to UI, try something new, fresh and fluid. Think of a core as an service layer with different UI options. For example, an app for approvals from seniors, etc.

Further some notification features and their integration with eMail, SMS, etc. channels. Something which was highly desirable at that time and something which is taken for granted in modern enterprise application.

Yes you can definitely but, reinventing wheel, is not a good idea. Try utilizing one unless you have very specific requirements.
