Can Surface replace a PC?

I don't think so for the simple reasons that the screen's not big enough and the keyboard's not good enough for serious PC work. I certainly wouldn't like to run VS on it!

No doubt you'll be able to attach larger screens and better keyboards but I don't think there will be many people who'll want to be bothered with all that.

However, it does look like the Surface tablet will be a better proposition for those wanting to create content than the IPad currently is and, given that most folk don't really need the full power of a PC anyway, it should be a success if MS can get the pricing right.

However, it's not going to go down too well with the other companies who've traditionally built Windows PCs as their own tablet products will be at a price disadvantage with Surface because of the need to buy a Windows 8 licence from MS.

I don't think so. Microsoft Surface is a tablet which is like an iPad.For business purposes i guess Microsoft surface would be far far better than an iPad or any android tablet that is available in market today.
